Green campaign won't comply with order to return $468,000
Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Green's campaign said it won't give back any of nearly $468,000 in campaign contributions it was ordered to dump Wednesday by the state Elections Board.

The board told Green to get rid of political action committee contributions collected for the Green Bay congressman's previous federal campaign - subsequently rolled into his state race - because the donors weren't registered in Wisconsin when they wrote their checks.

But Green's campaign dismissed the decision as "incredibly partisan and hasty" and said Green complied with all applicable laws when he converted $1.3 million from his federal account in January 2005.

"We're going to continue to follow state Election Board rules and state law," campaign manager Mark Graul said, adding those allowed Green to spend the money.

In any event, Graul said, the money already has been spent.

11. Mark Green a child of privilege like Pierce Bush
He is a weaselly little Bush Bot.

The chimp came to WI and raised over $1,000,000.00 at $10,000.00 a plate so the little fuck can buy TV time to attack schoolteachers, and other public servants

He is whiny little baby like this dude

2. stick a fork in him.
Gov. Doyle already had a lead, but this will sink Green's challenge for sure. They were bitching and complaining about a lesser amount that Doyle had received. What hypocrites.

3. "We're going to continue to follow state Election Board rules..."
...he said, while ignoring the rules of the Election Board.

Isn't that a little like the Martians in 'Mars Attacks' who keep saying "We come in peace!" while they shoot up Congress?

5. Another "law and order" Republican
Yesiree, they're all in favor of justice and personal responsibility -- for everyone else. They get their tit caught in a wringer, and suddenly the law is all partisan and hasty.

Of course, the kicker is "the money has already been spent." Not surprising since it was collected nearly two years ago, but "oopsie" all the same. Cough it up, Mr. Green. You're busted.

8. Textbook Rethug
Green is running on absolutely nothing but attacks on Doyle. Oh yeah: his family says he's a nice guy. Wisconsinites are getting sick of the dirty stuff in government, and Green had best return this dough.

10. Wow! I didn't think he was that much of an idiot.
That's what I get for giving pukes too much credit. One of these days I'll learn.

Green's polling sucks. I'm shocked he thinks he can play the martyr card - victim of a partisan attack/elections board. He's no * and he isn't even getting very far with the martyr card lately.

I've been closely involved in a state assembly and state senate race in the middle part of the state and the ethics thing is playing very well. People want Wisconsin's reputation restored and their clean government back. When they hear how the pukes squashed the ethics bill in May, they are pissed.
