U.N. Workers Get Curfew in Afghan Capital

KABUL, Afghanistan -- The United Nations has imposed a 10 p.m. curfew on its staff in the Afghan capital after diners -- including some U.N. workers -- were robbed at gunpoint in a Chinese restaurant, a U.N. spokesman said Tuesday.

No one was hurt when armed men forced four or five U.N. staff and other patrons to hand over cash and valuables at the Shang Hai restaurant in Kabul on Nov 22.

The incident heightened security concerns as city authorities prepared for the arrival of hundreds of delegates from across Afghanistan for a meeting this month to ratify a new constitution.

1. I bet this stuff has been going on for 4000 years in this country.
How come Bush thinks the US is going to have any better luck? Why don't they try something else? I can not see why that seems so smart to me yet no one does it.
