Israel Raps U.S. for Planned Talks with Geneva Authors
Israel issued a rare rebuke to Washington, its closest ally, on Tuesday, saying Secretary State Colin Powell would be making a mistake if he met the architects of a symbolic Middle East peace plan.

"I think he (Powell) is making a mistake," Olmert told Israel Radio of the expected talks. "I think he is not helping the process. I think this is a wrong step by a representative of the American administration."

2. A rebuke
by the people that we support with our money and our young people are getting killed because of their ill concieved policies what the heck is going on?I would not be shocked if they have Powell removed as sec of state. Wake up america.

You're blaming the * fiasco in Iraq on their (I assume you mean Israel)policies?

The BFFE are the biggest anti-semites in this or any country. You think they give a rat's ass about Israel?

Of course oil has nothing to do with it? Maybe if Moses had made a different turn when he was in the Sinai, and brought his minions to the land of "oil' instead of the land of "milk and honey" your theory might have a kernal of truth to it.

I agree that it's important to properly place blame for the Iraq war squarely on the Anglo-American establishment. But unfortunately there's enough blame for some forces in Israel as well. I sincerely hope Labor can make a comeback. I wish Leah Rabin were still alive and in charge...

But I think a smaller amount than you think. I am not dismissing some over the top whackos there, but I was there a few months prior to *'s fiasco and I did not note a heavy approval for the war in Iraq. Hardly a person I knew thought the invasion of Iraq would make life better or safer in Israel. To the contrary, I heard more people worried about the repercussions of just such an invasion.

As for Leah's legacy, I think her husband's death gave her a sense of gravitas that she never earned or deserved when her husband was alive. She was never in charge of anything besides her American bank accounts.
