Dean: U.S. becoming Argentina
DEERFIELD - Carol Knieriem sipped on a glass of lemonade as former Vermont governor Howard Dean told a crowd packed inside a Deerfield house that President Bush is "foolish" on foreign policy and that America is quickly becoming the next Argentina.

The clinical social worker had not made up her mind which Democratic candidate to support before hearing Dean speak. Knieriem, in fact, was not invited to yesterday's house party, which hosted by former state representative Rebecca Hutchinson.

Rather, Knieriem had phoned Hutchinson and asked to come. "I want to hear what he has to say," said Knieriem, who was one of about 125 people at yesterday's event.

Dean's late afternoon arrival in Deerfield was his third New Hampshire house party yesterday. He already had shook hands and spoken to people at homes in Munsonville and Atkinson. Dean spent Friday in New Hampshire as well, campaigning in the southern part of the state.

1. Doesn't anybody believe in proofreading anymore???

"He already had shook hands and spoken to people at homes in Munsonville and Atkinson."

You would think that even spellcheck would have caught that one.

3. Let's just hope...
...that Laura Bush doesn't try singing anything from Evita during the 2004 elections. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
