Oprah dubs Obama 'favorite guy'

Oprah Winfrey said on Monday's "Larry King Live" that she liked Sen. Barack Obama for president, dubbing him her "favorite guy."
Winfrey, asked about a Kansas City man who is trying to promote her for president, advised him to get behind Obama, her fellow Chicagoan.

"Take your energy and put it in Barack Obama. That's what I would say," Winfrey said, according to an advance transcript.

"Is that your favorite?" King asked. "That would be my favorite guy," she responded.

The talk show host was the latest person to endorse Obama.

Gore/Feingold or
Gore/Kucinich

Clark (who knows all about war) and Kucinich (who has been advocating peace since his first time around). Slogan could be: Choose the War (NOT) and Peace ticket. I know it sounds kooky. But wouldn't it be great to have both of them? Gore could be in charge of EPA and Feingold could be Secretary of State. Obama could be Clark's right hand man (the exact title eludes me). I'm entitled to dream, no?

She's a kingmaker. She turns books into bestsellers. She turns causes into overnight successes. And if she's given her blessing to one of ours - especially somebody like Obama with TREMENDOUS potential, why not? I already like the guy myself. I think he may be a little young and needing a little more national experience, but that's about it. Sure like what I've seen and heard of him so far. Guys like Obama ARE the future of our Democratic Party. And he's cute as hell! Charming, intelligent, committed, articulate, with the path just starting to open for him since he's so young - got LOTS of good moments ahead of him.

He scored VERY big with that. If Oprah's behind you, a LOT of other people will be, as well.

Look, she could have blessed some republi-CON. I'm glad she chose one of OURS. And he's OURS!

without any of the other candidates. Just like she did with Ahnie during the recall and never had Grey Davis to offer rebuttals. That one turned me off of Oprah forever. And, of course, it would be Obama.

He is a political lightweight...Just a good public speaker.

He is a sure loser should he run in 08.

Gore/Obama.....

He should run, to energize his constituency, then back the eventual nominee. He is a great speaker, and may bring a powerful constituency with him.

He is a first term senator who hasn't done anything yet. Still learning the ropes and nowhere near a leadership position.

He is a good speaker and telegenic. He needs to prove himself first. Nearly all the candidates who ran last cycle are seriously better qualified than Obama.

Pity he doesn't act presidential and stand up to BushCo.
