Rumsfeld says he won't resign
Oct 1, 2006

MANAGUA, Nicaragua - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, coming under renewed fire for his management of the
Iraq war, said Sunday he is not considering resigning and said the president had called him personally in recent days to express his continued support.

Speaking to reporters en route to Nicaragua for a meeting of defense ministers, Rumsfeld said he was not surprised by reports in a new book that White House staff had encouraged
President Bush to fire him after the 2004 election.

"It's the task of the chief of staff of the White House — and having been one, I know that — to raise all kinds of questions with the president and think through different ways of approaching things," Rumsfeld said. "So it wouldn't surprise me a bit if that subject had come up."

Well then we'll just have to impeach him.

It matters not that Americans being killed. What's important is to Never admit a mistake. Firing Rumsfailed would be tantamount to admitting a grim, incompetent, war crime.

Just like the Pedophile Foley cover up, these Republican traitors care more about power, (and gay molestation of underage boys) then America.

6. If Dubya had any sense, he'd cut Rummy loose.
But as Laura herself has noted, he doesn't have enough sense to do so, no matter how much Rummy hurts him. LOL!

9. Rumsfeld Says He Has Bush's Confidence
MANAGUA, Nicaragua (AP) -

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, facing renewed criticism about his handling of the Iraq war, has a simple yet emphatic answer for his critics: "No, no, no."

Speaking as he arrived Sunday in Nicaragua, well away from the discord in Washington, Rumsfeld said President Bush gave him his personal vote of confidence in a recent private call.

Rumsfeld also told reporters he was not surprised by reports the White House chief of staff encouraged Bush to fire him after the 2004 elections.

"It's the task of the chief of staff of the White House - and having been one, I know that - to raise all kinds of questions with the president and think through different ways of approaching things," Rumsfeld said. "So it wouldn't surprise me a bit if that subject had come up."

12. Is Rumsfeld now denying that he ever claimed that he
told Bush (twice) that he wanted to resign?

Guess that admitting to that earlier claim would be "aiding the terrorists" ...

13. does anyone remember an article
back in 2000 or early 2001, where Rummy was wearing an officer's uniform for some ball--and apparently, it was a WWII German officer's uniform-he was caught wearing it, there was even a picture in the paper at the time--he stated that he didn't know it was a WWII officer's uniform (yeah, right). Does anyone remember that article? It was quite some time ago.
