Ahmadinejad: Sanctions won't stop Iran from enriching Uranium
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned the West on Wednesday that any possible sanctions would not stop his government from enriching uranium.

"This nation is powerful and won't give in to one iota of coercion," he said. The fiery speech drew chants of "Death to America!"

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Wednesday that "endless hours" of talks with Iran about its nuclear program with the West pressuring Iran to halt uranium enrichment have failed to make any progress.

"It is up to Iranians now to decide whether its time has come to end," Solana told the European Parliament.

4. They weren't useless
What was the state of Saddam's military after 10+ years of sanctions? About as formidable as the Virgin Islands'. His ability to develop WMD? Gone.

3. Iran's President is jerking off at the idea that America attacks
Then he will get his mandate to dissolve the Guardian Council and be the sole leader of Iran.

6. He can't do that. The Guardian Council is supreme authority
The only way he could do such a thing is through a coup, which is still a possibility though.
