Failed Nevada gubernatorial candidate, Russo, seeks presidency

Movie producer Aaron Russo may have gotten trounced running for Nevada governor in 1998, but that isn't stopping him from eyeing the Oval Office.

Russo, who has homes in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, launched his official bid as an independent candidate for president of the United States this week with a Web site and messages e-mailed to the media.

Russo's presidential platform is simple: "Pull the troops out of Iraq and abolish the Patriot Act.''
