Bush Says Job Market on Mend
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Even though Wall Street found the latest jobs report disappointing, President Bush on Saturday cited it as a sign of economic health and predicted further job growth ahead.

"This week we received additional reports that America's economy is gaining strength," Bush said in his weekly radio address.

Bush predicted "a solid path of recovery" for the economy, which he said should set the stage for more hiring.

"With strong sales and improving profits, companies will continue to hire new workers in the coming year," he said.

6. This guy is the poster boy for a number of severe psychological
illnesses. Schizophrenia (or however the hell you spell it), delusional behavior, the inability to discern reality from fantasy, pathological lying, too many to mention. We have a figurehead in the White House who sets the standard for mental illness. Yes world, the inmates are clearly running the asylum.

24. If any of that was the mission why did Bush insist on lying about
the justification for invading Iraq? And why did Bush insist that every member of his administration lie about the justification for invading Iraq?

Many Americans see it as this country's responsibility to be the policeman of the world and use our military to remove dictators from power. Bush should have the decency, honor, and integrity to espouse and defend that position rather than lie. Fewer people would criticize him for his lies if he stopped lying.

31. Haha, no new mass graves, huh?
I guess the 25,000+ Iraqis we killed this summer simply vaporized, huh? And safer how? We still haven't found Bin Laden, Saddam's mythical WMD, and have succeeded in pissing off millions of Muslims around the world with this Iraq invasion. Try riding in a military convoy in downtown Baghdad yelling "It's so much safer now!" and see how fast you get a rifle butt in your face.

How can people this stupid still exist? Did they live in a cave the past 3 yrs with only Faux news to watch?

35. More Talking Points With No Facts......
You know, I really envy people like you sometimes.....

You really do have it easy in your life.....

You're like the perfect wind up toy.....You don't have to think, or even function....All you have to do is listen to Rush, or Hannity, or O'Reilly, or Fox News, and your fed all the infotmation you need.....

Then it's just a matter of winding you up and letting you go.....

Now, just for fun, let's see if you have use of your Brain at all....I know it will be hard for you, since I doubt it's ever been used....Point by Point, with relevent links and facts backed up with verifiable documentation from Independent Sources that are not from the Four Food Groups that Feed your brain, PROVE one single worthless statement you just said.....

I know you're too much of a coward to do so, and you've probably already run back to the welcome arms of your "other board", telling them about your "Big Score" against people who actually CAN use their brains, but on the infintesmal chance that you have any guts.....

Go For It.....

I DARE YOU.....

36. I'm not entirely sure what mission has been accomplished.
Now that you mention it, I don't recall seeing Saddam lately, dead or alive. Osama either. And yes, you're right, Saddam hasn't generated any new mass graves lately but I'm fairly sure the US has (after the "Major Combat"; we'll never know how many civilians died in our quest to free them, we don't know how many have died as a result of the occupation, and we don't know how many generations will be impacted by the weapons the US used over there. Does this bother you?).

And yes, human resiliency being what it is, the Iraqis (God bless 'em)are digging out and trying to re-establish their country as the US is trying to figure out how to sell it piecemeal to their corporate cronies and get out in time for the next election, but given the folks that are routinely killing our soldiers in Saddam's name and in the name of an unoccupied Iraq, I can't say I feel they're terribly impressed with us as opposed to Saddam, either.

Truthfully, do you really feel safer now that the War Chimp has pissed off the balance of the world and put the lie to the legitimacy of the UN to attack a country that had NOTHING to do with 9-11? Do you feel better that our brave men and women are dying in a country that did not attack us nor act against us?

I sometimes catch myself wishing I could believe nonsense like what wilcam has posted. It would feel a lot better than the cold knowledge that two wrongs never make a right.

26. job market on the mend ...
... my ass. George W. Hoover whined:

"`With strong sales and improving profits, companies will continue to hire new workers in the coming year,' he said."

Would that be the coming year '05 when he's out of office after getting fired by the American people? He can lie all he wants about the job market getting better, most people know it's not.

42. I am constantly amazed at this particular republican Bushshit:
"`With strong sales and improving profits, companies will continue to hire new workers . . . ."
A sensible business person hires only to increase profits (or provide some other additional benefit to the business). No sensible business person would hire just because business and profits are good if the existing number of employees are adequate to handle it. Because of increased productivity and maximum job cuts many businesses can handle increased volume with their existing workforces.

37. Jobs? What Jobs?
I have never heard such utter bullshit! *I* know better. I am now on the receiving end of the 'jobless recovery' but for me it is just 'jobless'. The company I work for, which does Telephone Tech Support for an Internet Service Provider, is packing up and leaving town. The word is the jobs are being relocated to Canada where it is cheaper to do business.
