In a 2004 Flashback, Kerry Squares Off With Bush and Muses About His Own Political Future

Oct. 22, 2006 — In an exclusive appearance on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., rebuked President Bush's assertion that those who advocate a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq are supporting "surrender."

"That's reprehensible. It's a lie," Kerry said.

Echoing their debate in the 2004 campaign, Kerry shot back.

"The president just misled America again in that interview," he said. "Al Qaeda is not the problem in Iraq."

Rejecting President Bush's suggestion that the White House may consider a change of strategy in Iraq after the midterm elections, Kerry said, "If you've got a better strategy, Mr. President, we deserve to have it now."

1. Good for him and us too. He is calling out Bush and his lies.

I also like that told Bush, if he has a plan for Iraq, we all deserve to here it now and not after the elections.

He is almost as bad as Bush with this shit. He says something that gets a response, so he keeps saying it until it loses its meaning.

Bush does it all the time.

Just like a child who gets a laugh saying 'poo' so he says it for three days until you create a rule that he can't say it anymore.

Now, Bush is indeed a world class, grade A lying sack of shit. I am just making an observation that this seems to be a test balloon. For some reason, calling these bastards 'liars' seems to make Dems' balls want to drop, and Dems seem uncomfortable with the sensation. They got a good cheer last time they said it though, so I feel like they are like kids at the end of the high dive, just itchin to do it, but unsure of the risks.
