Minnesota House Republicans are breaking off ties with a fellow GOP legislator facing domestic abuse charges.

"Republicans voted Thursday to oust seven-term Representative Mark Olson of Big Lake from the caucus. In short, they won't supply him with staff support or other services. Caucus spokeswoman Jodi Boyne says the move means -- quote -- "Basically, he's on his own."

Some leading Republicans have said he should resign from the Legislature if he is convicted. He was recently elected to an eighth term."

because as we all know, the GOP is the party that stands for virtue, character and integrity.

found with $90,000 cash in the freezer and a couple of co-horts who've already pled guilty? We can't toss him as a Democrat?

2. You could do yourself a favor by reading more.

DU'ers know he was tossed out of his committee last summer BY DEMOCRATS. They didn't waste any time after they got the news he was being investigated.

Democrats know this.

Can't see the point in coming here to try to pick a fight with DU'ers over a bogus claim about Democrats coddling this guy. Why did you do it?

He hasn't been convicted and found guilty or pled guilty.

As for support staff and other services they shouldn't really do that in my opinion. At the least he should have staff and access to services that is open to either party. Services that he should be able to provide to his consituents.

His constituents deserve proper representation from him regardless of the situation until the legal process has been completed. That doesn't mean those same constituents can't bear down him to resign from office. They need to impress on him that if he did something seriously wrong then he should do the honorable thing and resign immediately.
