Republicans use taxes to solve budget woes, but not in California
Associated Press

Republican governors and legislators across the nation, facing big budget deficits and soft economic conditions, have turned to tax hikes to solve their problems. But not in California.

In the Golden State, where Democrats rule, a staunch minority of Republican lawmakers have held up adoption of the state budget for three weeks by refusing to accept any new taxes.

Their stand is in stark contrast to other parts of the country, where conservative anti-tax values are much more influential and the economy is just as flat - like Alabama, Utah and Idaho. ---

"Give a Democrat some money and he will spend it," said Brulte, of Rancho Cucamonga. ---

3. If the GOPers actually DID something about the looting by Enron
Then they couldn't run their "Gray Davis run up a record budget deficit and did nothing about it" attack ads.

They are so freaking transparent...

4. Drink the Kool-Aid.
It's grape. I put some extra sugar in it.
There now, just hold my hand and think about the future when
we get to the ship behind the comet.

(I think they are burying themselves for good in California.)
