McCain reaffirms support for US troop 'surge' in Iraq
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US Senator John McCain reaffirmed his support for the deployment of thousands of additional US troops in Iraq, a proposal expected to figure in President George W. Bush's upcoming reassessment of US strategy there.

"When I raise my hand and vote to send young men and women, American men and women into harm's way and fight a war, I am committing to accomplishing the mission," McCain, an early frontrunner for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination, told MSNBC.

He said the fight against Islamic extremism must be joined with renewed fervor.

"The consequences of failure are chaos and disaster. And these people ... want to destroy the United States of America," McCain said.

3. What a fucking idiot
I have no idea what the hell is wrong with him. Does he honestly this retarted troop "surge" idea will work? And, if he is simply being his usual asshole opportunist self, how does he possibly think this will help his presidential bid when a majority of Americans are opposed to this idiotic plan?

Any courage he displayed as a soldier is not evident at all in his senate career. He's little more than Bush's own personal whore.

It's His Turn! He Earned It!

(Any "reporter" dared to ask the idiot #2 what the "mission" is?)

(And, while they're at it, ask the idiot #2 where he was when the idiot #1 shouted "Mission Accomplished" a few years ago, already?)

These idiots have no shame. :puke:

8. WHAT mission?
What's the latest "mission" according to McCain/Lieberman, and the White House?

WMDs? Er...no
"Democracy"? Uh, sorry.
Fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here? Um....they never attacked us. That would be some Saudis.

Now, it's If we fail, there'll be "chaos and disaster" And it's what, now?

McCain, you're irrelevant. And so's your buddy, Joe.

13. Chaos and disaster? We've got a full load, Mr. McCain
What does that tell you about whether we have "succeeded" or "failed" in Iraq?

But this nut is a very serious commentator on Iraq, the military and the global war on terrorism, so his delusional rantings will be given wide airing by the very serious media elites. All so very serious right up until cocktail hour.
