(Geraldo) Rivera's syndicated newsmagazine axed
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070104/ap_en_ot/tv_rivera_canceled

NEW YORK - Geraldo Rivera is no longer at large — at least in the broadcast world.

His syndicated newsmagazine, "Geraldo at Large," was canceled on Thursday and Rivera will return to weekend work at Fox News Channel.

The news-oriented newsmagazine was foiled, in part, because it didn't have a distinctive home within the 93 markets that were airing it, said Bill Carroll, an expert in syndication for Katz Television. It was broadcast live in the late afternoon, but nearly half the stations are showing it after 11:30 p.m., he said.

The show's audience also proved too small and too old, he said.

1. Oh No! My world is crashing down around me!
Seriously though, this couldn't have happened to a sleazier guy. How misguided would one have to be to actually devote moments of ones life to the the physical act of turning the channel in his direction?

3. what a hoot!
I blogged about his unwatchable show a couple of months ago, and predicted its imminent demise.

Pobrecito Geraldo -- just like another chair to the face, huh, you warmongering ass?

4. I happened to see part of it Thursday evening and couldn't believe he
was doing story really trashing the Home Depot CEO who just quit with $220 million and Whoraldo even interviewed Barney Frank about all that.

8. I think this is really funny...
Given his recent head butting with Jon Stewart and the Daily Show. Well it seems that the guys on Comedy Central who "exist in a small little place where they count for nothing", as Rivera called them will be dancing on his career's grave; live and on TV.

Talk about cosmic justice...

10. Go back to Al Capone's safe. WHOREALDO!
Gee, here I am in Los Angeles and I never even knew WHOREALDO had a new show going on. I thought that since he sold his soul to 19th Century Fox, he went back to being a cheap propagandist waiting in line to kiss Bush's ass like every other PRE$$TITUTE on 19th Century Fox.

:hi: :applause::hi: :applause::hi: :applause::hi: :applause::hi: :applause::hi: :applause::hi:

First Dennis Miller, and now this. :rofl: Maybe he & Bill O can sit around the set massaging each other's massive egos. That just leaves Glenn Beck. I can't imagine that Beck is pulling down the kind of numbers needed to keep that show afloat. :woohoo:
