Polish priest to expose clergy

A Polish priest, who claims he was brutally beaten twice by Poland's communist-era secret police, has threatened to expose more Catholic clergymen who cooperated with the secret services.

Reverend Tadeusz Isakowicz-Zaleski's threat on Friday threatens to bring further embarrasment on high-ranking Polish priests.

Poland's powerful - and popular - Roman Catholic Church is still reeling after Stanislaw Wielgus, the Archbishop of Warsaw, resigned abruptly last Sunday at what was to have been his opulent installation Mass.

He admitted that he had worked as an informer for the secret police during the 1980s.
