U.S. soldier dies in vehicle rollover accident

BAGHDAD (CNN) -- A U.S. Task Force Lightning Soldier died Friday from "injuries sustained" from a "vehicle rollover accident" that occurred the day before, a U.S. military statement said.

This brings the number of U.S. military personnel killed in Iraq throughout the nearly four-year-old war to 3,087. (Posted 3:39 a.m.)

BAGHDAD (CNN) -- The U.S. military on Friday reported the deaths of three American soldiers in vehicle accidents -- one on Friday and two on Thursday.

A U.S. Task Force Lightning soldier died Friday from "injuries sustained" from a "vehicle rollover accident" that occurred the day before, a U.S. military statement said.

Two Multi-National Corps-Iraq soldiers died at approximately Thursday night as a result of a vehicle accident at Camp Liberty in Baghdad.
