1. A civilian Beechcraft Bonanza left Titusville FL and crashes into the home of the 3/ID
and so far no one has any comments?

3. I am not "suggesting" anything, Turbineguy, I was noting the lack of response
to this report-thanks for participating.

6. What should I say.
I've heard no more about it.

Plane crashes happen fairly frequently.

Should I connect it to the Watada mistrial? -- seems a bit of a stretch.

8. It crashed in a "training area" which I assume is out in the boondocks.
Sounds like just another unfortunate accident.

5. Hmmm...
Is this a civilian version of the type of plane that Speaker Pelosi was offered by the Pentagon? Interesting that it crashed over a military base, which was the designated refueling site for The Speaker.

I smell something rotten.

7. A Bonanza is an old prop plane, long a mainstay of Beech, ...
before it was taken over by Raytheon. It has nothing to do with any military plane likely to carry the Speaker, nor would she likely be going to Ft. Lewis.

10. I think you have your bases mixed up
Stewart is a long way out of the way from DCA to SFO.
Also that plane is a 4-seater piston powered prop aircraft.

12. Ft. Stewart is a very large base.

This plane has nothing to do with the military other than the fact that it is in pieces on a military reservation.

13. ????????????
The plane broke up and wreckage was scattered over a mile and a half, there was no distress call, tail number N506BC, piloted by Richard Love III the son of the owner of Blue Heron Aviation Sales, plane possibly in process of being sold to Crystal Aviation-then to my surprise I found out about a quiet little town of about 2700 souls in Naples County, a place called Hilliard, FL which I'm definately going to research.

Here's an update-there's a lot to research on this overlooked story.

15. Interesting fact:James Fallace of Fallace &Larkin LLC besides representing
Blue Heron Aviation Sales was appointed to a Judicial Nominating Commission by Jeb Bush
in July 2002
http://www.state.fl.us/eog_new/eog/library/releases/2002/july/jnc-07-09-02.html

Mr. Fallace is a member of several interesting organizations that I have never heard of until researching this plane tragedy.

Despite what people said upthread plane crashes are not fairly common.

And I wonder if there could be a real world link between the Wallace Hilliard family and Hilliard, FL-that could be a coincidence.

Wally Hilliard aircraft and aviation assets are linked to extraordinary rendition flights, drugs and the flight training school Huffman Aviation where Mohammed Atta (and others) trained.

There are coincidences of course. This story deserves research, and a kick.

16. Connect the dots
Fort Stewart is nearly on a straight line from Titusville, FL, to Anderson, SC
Fort Stewart is the largest military base east of the Mississippi, about 280,000 acres
Bonanza's are considered to be complex airplanes, and one variant of the Bonanza was nick named the "Doctor killer"
Weather was less than ideal. Described as cold and rainy.
Most interesting, according to the FAA N-number lookup, that airplane had a temporary certificate granted on 02/05/2007, valid until 03/07/2007. Airworthiness certificate from 1977

Simple explanation is that an old airplane, recently certified for flight but only for a limited time, with a young pilot, got into weather that was beyond the pilot's ability to manage. Wreckage scattered over a large area is typical of an inflight breakup. At night, it's fairly easy to fly into weather worse than expected and to have the pilot get into an unusual attitude, try to adjust and accidently overstress the airframe.

Unfortunately, this describes a fairly typical general aviation accident.
