CIA Taking Lead in Saddam Interrogation
WASHINGTON, Dec 16, 2003 (AP Online via COMTEX) -- The CIA is taking the lead in overseeing the interrogation of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Tuesday.

Central Intelligence Agency head George Tenet will decide who will interrogate Saddam and what information they will seek, Rumsfeld said at a Pentagon news conference.

Rumsfeld would not say whether Saddam had offered any information of value.

"Characterizing his general relationship with his captors, probably the best word would be resigned," Rumsfeld said.

CIA:
Did you hide any biological weapons?

Saddam:

CIA:
No din-dins until we're finished.

4. Officials have already said they plan on torturing Saddam
Edited on Tue Dec-16-03 06:00 PM by missile_bender
to get him to talk. They call it "sleep depreivation," etc. The Geneva Convention calls it torture.

Let's start a list of war crimes against Saddam. Let's see: torture, parading him as a POW in front of the cameras, exploiting his capture for political gain, depriving him of legal help. Did I forget anything?

And before anybody says he deserves to be tried for war crimes (against who? invaders?) or crimes against his people (he should be tried for that), it can only be fair if the U.S. officials who supported him financially and politically while he was killing Iraqis be tried too. That means you, Rummy.

And another thing, I've had people tell me all the Arabs should be killed because of 9-11, but that we need to save the Iraqis from Saddam. Huh?

5. Maybe the CIA will expose the BFEE
Use the Hussein questioning to expose the BFEE and get a little payback for outing agent Plame.
