Russia has not yet decided on withdrawal from INF Treaty - Lavrov
Published: Feb 16, 2007

MOSCOW. Feb 16 (Interfax) - Russia has yet to make a final decision on withdrawing from the Soviet-U.S. Treaty on the Elimination of Their Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles, commonly referred to as the INF (Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces) Treaty, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We have heard a remark by the U.S. that it was concerned by Yury Baluyevsky's statement, but we were also concerned when the U.S. unilaterally withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty," Lavrov told journalists on Friday.

"I would like to repeat that the matter does not yet imply any final decision," he said.

1. Great. I never thought I would miss Reagan.
At least that asshole recognized that reducing the threat of nuclear war was in everyone's best interest. Dumbass and his gang of thugs have restarted the nuclear weapons competition. Nice. Only now we get a bunch more players, a planet running out of oil, a neocolonial super power run by arrogant thugs (that would be us) and a has-been super power far less stabile than it was when it was being run by the heirs of stalin, with dreams of regaining its former stature. Should be fun.

3. It will be very difficult to make Ruskies evil this time
It will be very difficult to make Ruskies evil this time. They are no longer commies and have embraced the capitalist ways. Just like us.
