White House will wait and see on Democratic move to revoke war vote

WHITE HOUSE (AP) - The White House is taking a wait-and-see approach to word that Senate Democrats want to revoke the authorization for war in Iraq.

A White House spokesman calls it "hypothetical legislation."

...

But Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto says it's still "operative." And he says President Bush is determined to retain the "resources and flexibility" needed to press on with his Iraq troop buildup.

Fratto adds that Democrats appear divided on the resolution -- pointing to reports that some want to revoke it completely, while others want to adapt it.

6. I suspect that the Moron in Charge
(whoever has his hand up Bushit's arse this week) figures that the Dems don't have the guts to pass such a piece of legislation with such a slender majority.

If it does pass, I'm sure we will hear the WH claim that they don't have the power, there will be a veto, that the president doesn't have to obey it, and finally we will see the meltdown of the Chimp in Chief as he stands at the podium stamping his feet and holding his breath.

No matter what he won't obey it. He is too far gone into his Emperor fantasy.

7. Bush is playing brinkmanship with the Democrats in the Senate
The White House is engaged in political duel with the Democrats over who has the authority to conduct this war.
IN THE MEAN TIME - MORE PEOPLE ARE DIEING!
Bush is wasting time in legal wrangling as more of our people as well as Iraqis are killed. A president like Bush who will sacrifice human life to make a political point should be impeached.
