Cleric: Can't ID alleged CIA kidnappers

BERLIN -- The Egyptian cleric whose alleged kidnapping by CIA agents led
Italy to indict 26 Americans said he would not be able to identify his
abductors if he saw them again, according to an interview released Monday.

Osama Hassan Mustafa Nasr was allegedly snatched from a Milan street in 2003
as part of the CIA's "extraordinary rendition" program of terrorism suspects.

A Milan judge indicted the Americans -- all but one believed to be CIA agents
-- in February but Nasr told Germany's Der Spiegel magazine's online edition
that he could give few details about them.

"I wouldn't be able to identify any of them," the magazine quoted Nasr as
saying. "That was a well-planned secret service operation."

Or Brit Hume. Or any of a number of right wing commentators. They can all identify covert and non-covert CIA operatives just by looking at them. And if Mr. Nasr needs a diagnosis for a medical problem, I can tell him where to send a videotape for instant analysis by a top heart surgeon.
