As Clinton seeks to mark legacy, counter-library group wants to mock it
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) Just a few blocks from the future site of Bill Clinton's $160 million presidential library, a couple of Clinton haters hope to open a museum devoted to mocking his presidency.

``As long as he's talking, we'll have to be here trying to keep him somewhat honest and stop him from rewriting history,'' says John LeBoutillier, a former Republican congressman from New York who rode Ronald Reagan's coattails to victory in 1980.

LeBoutillier and his partner, Houston businessman Richard Erickson, plan to call it the Counter-Clinton Library. They say the museum here and one planned for Washington will look at such topics as Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky, the last-minute pardons, even damaged White House furniture.

``We already hear he's going to bring a bunch of egghead economists to his library to say how great the economy was when he was president,'' LeBoutillier says. ``And we'll find our own who can say it had nothing to do with him.''

4. Even the first sentence calls them Clinton haters
It's pretty obvious how pathetic they are. Clinton wasn't responsible for the economy when he was president and it was excellent, but he's responsible for the economy now while he's out of office and it stinks. Right.....

7. What a waste of money
Maybe the Clinton Library will be able to annex their 'museum' in a few years when they don't have the resources to keep it up and use it as a tribute to the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

8. Republican Consistency
The knucklheads don't want the truth known about any President. Especially Clinton, Bush I and II and Reagan. The truth slays them like light does a vampire.

9. Look at the parasites pledging materials
Gary Aldrich, Dick Morris. One's daft and the other would sell his own grandmother for media attention. Pathetic.

10. Saw Aldrich's last spew, Thunder on the Left...
(like he would know). It was one of the worst pieces of garbage I've seen in a while; badly written, Clinton on every page, plus a whole chapter entitled, go ahead and blame Clinton, I do. :puke:

Maybe if the FBI hadn't spent so much time focused on Clinton's zipper, they would have caught some terrorists.

11. Unreal

1) It is amazing these Republicans have so much time on their hands devoted to mocking a President of this nation. Was this their lifes purpose? When they get to the end of it all and the grim reaper comes for them, and they are asked, “What are you most proud of that you did during you life?” .. Will the response be, “I mocked a former president.” Probably so.
2) Where is the Republican respect for the heritage of our nation? Most modern Presidents have something named after them. I don’t like getting on the Subway in D.C. and hearing “Raygun Airport” when I know it used to be Washington, but I won’t sweat it.
3) These economists who will say the great economy under Clinton, “had nothing to do with him” is a straw man. The fact of the matter is when listening to Republicans opine about Democrats you would think they can do no right, and would f**** up a wet dream. Well, for better or worse for fact or fiction the bottom line is CLINTON was the President during a time of wonderful economic boom, a downturn in crime, more teachers, more cops, a downturn in teen pregnancy. Whether or not these were the direct result of Clinton is NOT RELEVANT…The Sad, Cold, UGLY reality of the situation these fuckwaks will have to live with is, HE SHOULD be credited with doing a fine job. Of course, had Bush or Dole been the President during the years 1993-2000 I am quite sure the Republicans would be talking about erecting a statue on every corner of America.

I was not a fan of Clinton. The Telecommunications Act he signed in 1996 was an atrocity and he is clearly on the right when it comes to globalization and trade, but dude deserves kudos for getting it done.

He (his wife and his daughter) took a verbal beating that no man deserves yet he remains dignified and Presidential.

For once, leave the friggin man alone.

12. John LeBoutillier writes for Newsmax
Nuff said on that one. Chris Ruddy, the editor of Newsmax is a top-ranked Clinton-Hater. I love the quote abotu how LeBoutillier "rode Reagan's coattails to victory in 1980". I think he lasted one term.

13. These people clearly need to get a life.
Still if it weren't for the rabid right they'd probably be hanging out at the bus depot bumming cigarettes and writing on the bathroom wall.
