Homeless shelter collapses in Baghdad
A woman was killed and eight other people were hurt in the collapse of a homeless shelter run by Iraq's largest Shiite Muslim political group Friday, an official said, blaming a bomb attack.

But a senior US military officer, quoting Iraqi police, said a structural defect was at fault.

3. Well, sure, a bomb will cause a structural defect
Got to make your questions a little more specific, son.

5. It wasn't a homeless shelter. It was HQ of our Shi'ite militia allies
http://www.juancole.com/

Some homeless people were staying there. But the building itself was where the paramilitary Badr Brigade is housed in Baghdad. They're the militia of the Shiite Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq--the guys we want to take over fighting the Sunni insurgents.

Read Juan Cole's blog for all the good stuff

6. The transparent homeless
and brown to boot. Did they expect better 'luck'?

They should be grateful it was just a bomb and not the government deliberately trying to erase them as in the US...

</sick, angry sarcasm>
