KABUL, March 28 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber on a motorcycle exploded near the car of a senior Afghan intelligence official in a central Kabul business area on Wednesday, killing four civilians.

The target of the attack, Kamaluddin, who heads an intelligence department, was among 12 people wounded in the attack, the latest in a series of recent raids by suspected Taliban, the intelligence office said in a statement.

"With regret, four of our countrymen were killed and 12 wounded," it said, saying the dead were all civilians.

Earlier a police officer said five of the wounded were intelligence officials.
