Multi-National Force – West PAO

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Marine assigned to Multi National Force-West died March 27
while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar Province.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and
release by the Department of Defense.

March 28 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 0930 GMT
on Wednesday:

* BASRA - A British soldier was shot and wounded at police headquarters in the
southern city of Basra, a British military spokesman said. "His condition is not
graded as very serious," the spokesman said, giving no further details of his
injuries. Asked about Iraqi police reports that a sniper was responsible, the
spokesman said: "We don't know if he was a sniper or not."
