It comes from a photo that was posted here of "Support the Troops" freeper counter-protesters at an anti-Iraq war protest in the spring. The sign they carried said something like "Go home morans...", with the revealing mispelling of the word moron. Moran now refers to this type of person.

With Saddam gone, the bushies will be coming up with more BinLaden tapes as a campaign promo. Some people in the USA and Iraq still don't have electricity nor sophisticated electronics, yet BinLaden has sophisticated electronics to make video tapes at the bushie's request. Not even Saddam had sophisticated electronics in his cave.

Something smells like ten day catfish left out in the desert.

An audio tape purported to be of Osama bin Laden aired on Saturday appears to be an old one that was previously broadcast, a CIA official said.

"It appears to be the same audio that was released (previously)," the official told Reuters.

CNN reports that this is the same audiotape aired on Al-Jazeerah in October, 2003.

9. heard a great piece on NPR recently, forget who, an academic,
about the "dance" between Bush and Osama, the US/UK and terrorists. The speakers' essential point was how much one needs the other to exist. And that is the heart of it, I believe. In this definition of the world as good/evil, black/white, us/them, that we are being presented as an operational framework, both good and evil depend on each other to keep the ball in play. I'll post a transcript if I can, but you get the point...

Considering that the Taliban is regaining power and the Afghan government is barely hanging on as it is. Not to mention any help they've given the Iraqi resistance in killing US troops.

Those "silly" jihads have been responsible for the deaths of many Americans, among others. Yep, silly I guess, except when millions of people around the world of the same faith take them dead-serious.
