Police in Paraguay have launched a large search operation for two Japanese citizens who were abducted at gunpoint.

Hirokasu Ota, a 62- year-old business man living in Paraguay, and his secretary, Savako Shuma Yamaguchi were seized on a road near the eastern town of Caaguaza. A Paraguayan policeman and his girlfriend who stopped to help the pair were also kidnapped.

I don't think this has been posted... there are other slightly older links but they don't mention the link between the hostages and Moon.

1. Moon Over Paraguay???
(I just woke up, and not on purpose---sorry about that)

So that's why Dubya bought the ranch there. (another felicitous turn of phrase)

If Dubya thinks Moon will continue this Annointed One crapwhen he's living in exile, he's sadly mistaken. Bush will be yesterday's bath tissue.

2. I wonder if this is local backlash to Moon's takeover of the Guarani Aquifer -
an opening salvo to the new wars over water.
