Iraq: 2 US soldiers, 1 Marine killed

The Associated Press
Published: April 15, 2007

BAGHDAD: Two U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed in separate
incidents in Iraq, the U.S. military said Sunday.

One soldier was killed by small arms fire Sunday while trying to reach
an Iraqi police unit under attack near a mosque in southern Baghdad,
the military said in a statement. One civilian was wounded in the
incident.

Another soldier died Saturday when a roadside bomb exploded while
the unit was on a foot patrol south of Baghdad, the military said in
another statement.

A Marine died the same day in combat in Anbar province, the military
said.

The victims' names were withheld pending family notification.

4. K&R - lest they be forgotten. Bush considers these deaths a "mere comma in history".
He considers this whole horrific war a "mere comma in history".

MSM seems to consider these deaths and maimings to be a nuisance to report, something that takes away from the Ana Nichol type stories.

May the family of these soldiers find peace. God help us.....

11. RIP, Troops.
:patriot:

You died because of a corrupt President who is loyal only to his war-profiteering friends.

12. RIP
May their families find peace. According to icasualties.org, this makes 3,301 sacrificed so that Dubya could play "war president." In addition to all of those badly damaged, both physically and emotionally, and the hundreds of thousands dead and injured Iraqis, there is going to be a lot of very bad karma for the ones who insisted on this fiasco.

17. Isn't this like everyday news for you guys? In Canada, we just had 8 die in Afghanistan and...
..it's the biggest news to hit this place since Vimy.

I see us now going through the same "support the troops" = "support the mission" bs ya'll went through. Courtesy of our mainstream media, which is wholly behind the war.
