Republican presidential hopeful John McCain promises public briefings on Iraq war if elected
Source: AP

MURRELLS INLET, South Carolina: Republican presidential candidate John McCain told voters Wednesday that if he becomes commander in chief he will brief the public biweekly from the Oval Office on developments in the Iraq war.

"I would tell them exactly what the battlefield scenario is," McCain told about 450 people packed into a VFW post in this town south of Myrtle Beach.

The Arizona senator emphasized that he was not guaranteeing victory in Iraq.

"Am I telling you we're going to succeed? No. But I'm telling you I think we've got a good chance of succeeding," he said.

2. We don't Want NO Stinking Briefings! We Want Our Soldiers HOME!
What is so difficult about this concept--to understand, to accept, or to implement?

What a fucktard. McCain is finished unfortunately he's the only one who doesn't know it.

5. He's starting to sound like Rumsfailed.
"Am I telling you we're going to succeed?"
Answer = No.

"Do you think I should throw in the towel, while I still have a few scraps of dignity left?"

"Do you think I'm an idiot?"

8. Methinks McCain has rerouted the exhaust on the bus to his private room...
cuz no sane individual who once had some integrity would be making those statements with a straight face.

13. "I would tell them exactly what the battlefield scenario is,"
:eyes:

As opposed to now, where he makes shit up out of whole cloth to cover up a HUGE lie meant to convince Wolf Blitzer and his audience that things are going well, followed by a PR STUNT endangering a hundred US forces and hundreds of Iraqis around him to convince us the lie was based in fact?

What a fucking piece of work this guy is. He has REAL BALLS trying to get back on the Straight Talk Express after that stunt. Fuck this charlatan.

He is so horny for power he will say anything and do anything, and has made it utterly apparent that he will sell out his beliefs in a second if it has any potential political benefit, and will play both sides of an issue in the very same conversation.

Wow. I would LOVE to hear daily briefings from this asshat! :eyes:

Really has been enjoyable watching his career and campaign crash in a giant fiery ball. I would have suspected he would have waged a much more competent campaign. I guess the Bob Dole Presidential Entitlement Anger Syndrome(PEAS) has claimed another victim. The disease has a sad, sad tract indeed.
