3. Wolfowitz, like all the neocon rat bastards have a huge sense of entitlement.
More or less like royalty.

Wolfie won't leave until Cheney and the other mafia bosses give him the order.

He will never do it for the good of the Bank or out of self-respect.

4. "In the interests of the institution"
Does the deputy REALLY think Wolfowitz cares about that? Or about anything but himself? If he goes, they'll have to drag him outta there.

6. Yeah. Except I think they changed the title to Military Executioner.
That can't be right.

Well, give the man a medal of honor, or something.

8. I only caught a glimpse of that on the Daily Show. It could be wrong.
But I'd swear it was a photo of an official document, and it said Military Executioner.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

But it isn't too far off what one would expect. You can't get worse than War Czar. Jeez.

10. World Bank directors to meet over Wolfowitz scandal
World Bank directors to meet over Wolfowitz scandal
By Jitendra Joshi AFP - Thursday, April 19WASHINGTON (AFP) - World Bank directors were set Thursday to debate the fate of their scandal-hit president, Paul Wolfowitz, with Washington under pressure to jettison its support for the former deputy Pentagon chief.

The meeting of the 24 executive directors was previously scheduled to discuss the global lender's planned development projects, but now is likely to be dominated by a pay and favoritism scandal that has engulfed Wolfowitz.

The White House has continued to stand by its man.

"The effort of the World Bank board should be get to the facts, treat it with fairness, and think of the long-term effectiveness of the institution," presidential spokesman Tony Fratto said Wednesday.

The facts, according to a sheaf of documents released by the board, are that Wolfowitz in 2005 personally ordered a hefty pay package worth nearly 200,000 dollars and guaranteed promotions for his girlfriend at the bank.

11. Top deputy tells Wolfowitz to step down
Source: Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A deputy to Paul Wolfowitz urged the
World Bank chief on Wednesday to resign in the interests of the institution during a meeting of the bank's management, sources who participated in the meeting said.

The sources told Reuters that World Bank Managing Director Graeme Wheeler, a bank veteran named by Wolfowitz as one of his two deputies a year ago, raised the issue at a meeting of the bank's vice presidents.

Asked to comment, World Bank spokesman Marwan Muasher said: "I feel it is inappropriate to comment on private meetings."

Wheeler, a former World Bank treasurer who joined the bank from the New Zealand treasury, is widely respected in the institution.

Yet another Bush crony has been caught handing down special favors, in Wolfowitz's case the World Bank has been reeling from the revelations that he had improperly arranged a high-salaried job for his girlfriend Shaha Riza.
