US withdrawal only solution for Iraq's dilemma, says Ahmadinejad
Source: DPA

The only solution to end the dilemma in Iraq was to withdraw the United States forces from Iraq and leave all state affairs to the Iraqi government, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday.

Ahmadinejad told visiting Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari that 'end of occupation' was the only way to return security and stability to Iraq.

'Continuation of killing of innocent people indicates the weakness of the occupiers in establishing security in Iraq; the occupiers are currently in their weakest phase following the invasion of Iraq,' Ahmadinejad was quoted by ISNA news agency as saying.

1. What an unhelpful dogfucker that guy is. I mean, really. What a shithead.
I think the Supreme Leader had best rein in his fucking puppet, and tell him to shut up. That is, if he REALLY wants us out of Iraq.

We're on a push to withdraw, and this asshole, for his own craven political purposes, has to wave a flag in front of Nutjob the Dunce? I mean, really....how stupid of him. All that will do is make Monkeyboy more inclined to dig in and NOT compromise.

2. I'm sorry, what makes you think he wants the US out of Iraq?
Seems to me the war's doing such wonders for US military readiness, Iran would want the US as deep in Iraq as remains possible, for as long as it takes until the Army's completely broken.

6. I certainly DO take your point.
But OTOH, BushCo doesn't do logical things, and goading the beast is unhelpful in the extreme. The Midget Mayor could find himself facing an America with a Draft that has just reopened five boot camps and is mobilizing like it's WW2 and a circling band of carriers stacked to the rafters with attack and fighter aircraft in the Persian-Arabian Gulf.

I realize that is an unlikely-in-the-extreme scenario as well, but the phrase "Too clever by half" comes to mind when I contemplate the diarrhea of the mouth that bozo seems to suffer.

Of course, there's always the possibility of the "targeted attack" as well. We forget what Israel did when Iraq tried to pull the same "nuke plant" business back in 1981 (seems like just yesterday to me, but I realize there are people who weren't even born when that happened!!): http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/june/7/newsid_3014000/3014623.stm

1981: Israel bombs Baghdad nuclear reactor
The Israelis have bombed a French-built nuclear plant near Iraq's capital, Baghdad, saying they believed it was designed to make nuclear weapons to destroy Israel.
It is the world's first air strike against a nuclear plant.

An undisclosed number of F-15 interceptors and F-16 fighter bombers destroyed the Osirak reactor 18 miles south of Baghdad, on the orders of Prime Minister Menachem Begin.

The army command said all the Israeli planes returned safely.

The 70-megawatt uranium-powered reactor was near completion but had not been stocked with nuclear fuel so there was no danger of a leak, according to sources in the French atomic industry. ....

3. a weak Iraq is what Iran wants.
As long as US boots are on the ground, they can't bring up old border disputes that date back to pre Saddam era

5. Ahmedinijihad wishes to see America bloodied, weakened, and out of the middle-east
Any suggestions he makes regarding America's middle-eastern policy should be understood with this in mind.
