(Veterans' graves) Flags Burned, Replaced With Swastikas
Source: Associated Press

ORCAS ISLAND, Wash. (AP) -- Vandals burned dozens of small American flags that decorated veterans' graves for Memorial Day and replaced many of them with hand-drawn swastikas, authorities said Monday.

Forty-six flags were burned completely and another 33 were found in charred tatters Sunday in the cemetery, authorities said. Swastikas drawn on paper appeared where 14 of the flags had been.

Maybe, sober skin-heads, or some other self-centered, self-righteous bigoted, ignorant bastard who probably can't read well enough to pass the ASVAB test to get in the Army. He's settling for shaving his head, wearing combat boots and pretending he actually had something to do with the melanin concentration in his skin and his parents religion before he was born. He's proud, I'm sure, of his "accomplishment."

6. Who the HELL on ORCAS would do this?
Maybe someone ferried in? WTF? Orcas Island can be reached only by boat or plane. There is a ferry to it, with many people visiting/vacationing. If this was a local, it will be found out. If this was a visitor, SHAME on you. (SHAME on the local is that was whom also).

of W.I., I saw something on the History Channel this weekend about nazis in America, and some

Orcas is pretty tiny, my folks are one hop away on San Juan Island. Too big of a pain in the butt for a mainlander to bother with the "prank."

Vandals twice attacked Veterans' graves in Woodlawn Cemetery on Orcas Island this Memorial Day weekend, burning American flags and placing swastika-bearing flags in their place...

A cemetery caretaker remained in the area and watched the cemetery until 4 a.m. Monday morning. A short time later it was discovered that the vandals struck again, cutting up flags and replacing 33 of them with the hand-drawn swastika flags.

attacking those at eternal rest. it was a desecration of a final resting place, and the flags were not the property of the vandals.

i was raised to respect the fallen soldiers of our Country, this smacks of the same old shit from the 60's. anyone here remember the greetings our guys encountered upon returning from Nam. anyone???

i am outraged, incensed and pissed off to high HEAVEN. i am too far gone physically to beat the shit out of them, but if someone will hold the perps down i will piss in their face:grr: :nuke:
