Michelle Obama stumps in Iowa

COUNCIL BLUFFS - Barack Obama isn't the only one in his family who can draw a crowd.

About 150 people jammed into a hot, clammy room in Bayliss Park Hall on Friday to hear Michelle Obama argue that her husband has the experience to be president.

She said her husband, a former civil rights attorney and community organizer, doesn't have a lot of experience in Washington, D.C., but she made it clear she considers that a plus.


Michelle Obama campaigns for her husband, Barack, at a garden party Friday.


Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, 45, who is in his first term, is considered one of the top three in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
