KABUL (AFP) - President Hamid Karzai angrily criticised Saturday "indiscriminate and unprecise" operations by NATO- and US-led forces in Afghanistan, which he said had killed 90 civilians in just over a week.

The grim-faced president told reporters that one recent operation had killed 52 people in three days of fighting in the southern province of Uruzgan. "Attacks causing civilian casualties, as I have said before, are not acceptable for us. It is no longer tolerated," Karzai told reporters.

"As you are aware over the past several days, as result of indiscriminate and unprecise operations of NATO and coalition forces, our people suffered casualties," he said, flanked by his Defence Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak.

He listed four operations over the past 10 days, the most deadly being the one in Uruzgan's Chora district.

3. Memo to Hamid Karzai:
It's tough, isn't it? Watching your country get taken apart, by the very people you signed a deal In Blood with. If you try to assert yourself, you will be gone.

Just try it. Watch what they will do.

Sincerely,
Cliss

Fact: Hamid Karzai was installed as a U.S. puppet. He's an employee of Unocal. He's supposed to keep things "cool" while we work on the pipeline across Afghanistan. It's important to have our allies, after all.

There have been indiscriminate bombings, lots of them. Each time, Karzai has been very upset. He demands that the U.S. do something about it, stop the killings because it's created a Tinder box that's ready blow.

They're really listening to him, aren't they.

5. I can only imagine how happy I would be.....
...to have one of my family mercilously blown to smithereens or shot through like a pin cushon. But then again, THEY aren't Americans, so it doesn't matter.

10. If he's so "mad," he should kick the occupation troops out.
Until he does so, he's just a figurehead, an imported "leader" to put an Afghan face on Western colonialism. Make no mistake, there is no sovereign state in Afghanistan.
