20 Beheaded Bodies Found in Iraq
Source: ABC News

Twenty beheaded bodies were discovered Thursday on the banks of the Tigris River southeast of Baghdad, while a parked car bomb killed another 20 people in one of the capital's busy outdoor bus stations, police said.

The beheaded remains were found in the Sunni Muslim village of Um al-Abeed, near the city of Salman Pak, which lies 14 miles southeast of Baghdad.

Meanwhile, a parked car bomb ripped through a crowded transport hub in southwest Baghdad's Baiyaa neighborhood at morning rush hour, killing at least 20 people and wounding more than 50, another officer said on the same condition.

Also Thursday, the British military said three British soldiers were killed in a roadside bomb in southern Iraq.

1. NPR (Neocon Public Relations) and Whore Inskeep led the news with something re U.S. on the Tigris.
He seemed to leave out this fine little detail.

3. Now hang on...
I heard the interview. And I heard the horrific news of the beheadings.

The interview was probably taped before the news of this particular discovery, don't you think?

5. They mentioned it after the "history" piece about the Tigris River.
20 people being beheaded is an atrocity. You lead with it, unless you are trying to bury it.

4. Untidy, Too
With all those headless bodies turning up. Are the Iraqis still just exuberant in their new freedom?

6. Republican's are rejoicing at this tremendous sign of progress
....and remember if we pull out prematurely, Iraq could slip into the depths of secretarian violence.

8. Officials: What 20 bodies? We can't find any bodies.
In any place other than Iraq, this would be unbelievable.

Bombs kill 34 in Baghdad, 3 UK troops in Basra

(Adds scepticism about decapitated bodies)

By Dean Yates

BAGHDAD, June 28 (Reuters) - A car bomb killed 25 people on
Thursday at a busy intersection in Baghdad where minibuses
pick up and drop off passengers, while a roadside bomb killed
three British soldiers in the southern Iraqi city of Basra.

An Interior Ministry official cast doubt on reports that 20
beheaded bodies had been found on a river bank south of
Baghdad.

Police earlier said the bodies were found by residents in the
Sunni town of Salman Pak, but the official said an Interior
Ministry team that went to the area with U.S. soldiers could
not find any victims.

9. I wonder what the be-headers do with the heads.
Wouldn't it be more horrifying if they left the heads on the street instead of dumping the headless bodies in places that are subject to questions?

10. Searching for more info for those beheaded
I was trying to find if those beheaded included woman and children. It seems to be the only thing to wake up some of my republican co-workers. It shouldnt' but it does.
It is sickening, but so were the lynching that were done in the USA
