Rossi group replaying themes of 2004 race (WA Gov Race)

OLYMPIA — Dino Rossi is traveling the state, raising money from supporters and giving several speeches a week about how the "folks in Olympia" are mucking up Washington's business climate and driving the state toward fiscal calamity.

In other words, Rossi is doing and saying many of the same things he did and said during his 2004 campaign for governor — a race the Sammamish Republican lost by a mere 133 votes to Democrat Christine Gregoire.

But Rossi says he isn't a candidate for anything right now — and that he's still months away from deciding whether to seek a rematch against Gov. Gregoire in 2008.

Most of the fundraising and public speaking Rossi does these days is on behalf of the Forward Washington Foundation, a nonprofit group he formed last year with the help of some of his key political advisers.

...snip...

Based on a complaint filed last month by the Democratic Party, the state Public Disclosure Commission next week will begin investigating whether Rossi is using the nonprofit to skirt campaign-finance laws.

So, Dino Rossi is going to run again as a conservative Republican in a Blue state in a Presidential Election year that's shaping up to be a Democratic blowout? Should be fun to watch.....

1. Snake Oil salesman
I saw him the last time he came to our town, withthe McGavick campaign for the Senatre(which he lost).
Rossi was working the crowds for McGavick, and he's gotta be the oiliest campaigner I've ever seen.
So Richie Rich wants to try again?
He's giving the election to the Dems by running again.
The Repubs love him, though, the few who form the backbone of the Republican Party in Washington.
My Republican neighbor has finally scraped all the myriad GOP campaign signs off his truck(because they were losers), except the Rossi one. He keeps hoping, I'm sure.

3. Snake Oil Salesman
Snake oil salesman: He fits the Republican mold perfectly. He's another one I can't watch speak. He exudes falseness.

5. Rossi teamed up with some heartless bastard restaurant owners
last time - they gave him alot of money and in return he was pushing a wage law that changed the way tips are counted and ultimately would reduce total wages for anyone who worked for tips - waitresses, bartenders. In some cases, a person's annual wages would have gone down $10,000 a year, or a third of their income.

I can't think of one case where legislation was passed forcing give backs of wages for average working Joe's and Josephine's.

I think anyone supporting Rossi should sign the "loyalty pledge" which would mandate a reduction of personal wages by 1/3 - that money could go to various charities of the signers pick.
