Talking dirty with Neil Bush
Edited on Thu Jan-01-04 06:11 AM by TheWebHead
Lloyd Grove:

Here are some stomach-flipping excerpts of Sharon Bush's attorney, Marshall Davis Brown, mercilessly grilling President Bush's wayward little brother:

Bush: "I had sexual intercourse with perhaps three or four, I don't remember the exact number, women, at different times. In Thailand once, I have a pretty clear recollection that there was one time in Thailand and in Hong Kong."

Brown: "And you were married to Mrs. Bush?"

Bush: "Yes."

Brown: "Is that where you caught the venereal diseases?"

Bush: "No."

Brown: "Where did you catch those?"

Bush: "Diseases plural? I didn't catch..."

Brown: "Well, I'm sorry. How ... how many venereal diseases do you suffer from?"

Bush: "I've had one venereal disease."

Brown: "Which was?"

Bush: "Herpes."

more... including an interesting bit on the anti-American insurgency "is more determined and organized than ever," according an Iraqi Ba'ath Party sympathizer identified only as Fathel in the upcoming issue of People magazine, here:

3. A good 10 if you talk about presidents brothers.
To be truthful what president has not had one of these crazy brothers? That this is the Bible belt brothers should send those people right out of the ball park as Carter's and Clinton's did but I am sure it will not be the same. Dem sin but Rep have misspent youths even if they are 50. As we know if you over drink and are poor you are a drunk and if rich a sport, rich men do not beat their wife or children either. And why turn down free sex? Or free money on the stock market?

7. As businessmen the Bush boys have the reverse Midas Touch.
Have any of them made an honest dime?Neil costs the US taxpayers billions for Silverado, and Smirk can't even find oil in West Texas or the Middle East.
If they don't have to be held accountable for their shady deals what's a little episode with hookers(Oh,that's right.Neil is so devastatingly attractive to the opposite sex that beautiful Thai women compulsively throw themselves at him)and a case of herpes.

Bush Brother Makes Big One-Day Profit

January 1, 2004 02:29 AM EST

WASHINGTON - Presidential brother Neil Bush made at least $798,218 on three stock trades in a small U.S. high-tech company where he had been a consultant, according to his tax returns, including $171,370 buying and selling the company's shares in a single day.

Bush's big paydays in the stock of Kopin Corp. of Taunton, Mass., included the July 19, 1999, purchase and quick sale of stock as the company announced good news about a new Asian client that sent its stock value soaring.

Bush said he did not have any inside information from Kopin, and simply acted on a recommendation from his financial adviser.

"Any increase in the price of the stock on that day was purely coincidental, meaning that I did not have any improper information," Bush said in e-mails to The Associated Press. "My timing on this transaction was very fortunate."

to the name of somebody in Kopin Corp. who probably just coincidentally had some gov business planned in the future?

14. Well, Ole Neil is not completely exempt!
It seems that, no matter what these boys do, they walk away from all their actions, unscathed. They create havoc, they move in like tornadoes and destroy everything in their wake. I've read some amazing stories about how these incompetent sons have bungled an enormous amount of deals; they are gullible and have been tricked on many occasions. Daddy and Mommy have had to bail them out of many scrapes.

They walk away and wipe their hands of the mess. So for once, nature decides the outcome of Neil's indiscretion.

I believe herpes is a life-long affliction which cannot be cured (?). It comes and goes, but I think he needs to tell any future sex partners that he has this problem.

Just saw a commercial for it and imagined Bush as the actors ('cept he won't be acting)....riding his bike, going swimming...holding hands...just having a blast...except for those pesky little outbreaks.

Would love to see this transcript--bet the really interesting connections are being missed.

...

Take EluSys, developer of the blood-cleaning injection. Wolf passed its CEO reins to Stephen Sudovar, who had served as president of Roche Laboratories, Inc., a U.S. division of Hoffmann-La Roche, one of the top five global pharmaceutical companies. The start-up's board of directors includes a retired vice chairman of Bristol-Myers Squibb, a retired president of Merck Vaccines, and a former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. Nobel Laureate Joshua Lederberg, a founding father of modern genetics, is an active EluSys scientific adviser.

Neil Bush, younger brother of Republican presidential nominee George W. Bush and Florida governor Jeb Bush, is the board member credited with raising the initial cash to form EluSys. Though Bush says he no longer plays an active role, a board meeting was held at the family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, and Wolf has returned for other visits. Bush pledges that, should George W. get elected to the White House, "I'm definitely going to resign immediately. Given the marketplace perception , it would be a terrible thing for the company."

Funding an upheaval that could shape the next century means risking the loss of a few million dollars today. Bush is a former wildcatter in the oil industry and was a poster child for the '80s Savings and Loan crisis. He's no stranger to playing business decisions on a hunch. "I'm probably the maverick of the family. My brothers have chosen more stable ways of earning a living. I pursued a course for me," says Bush. "Intuitively, EluSys was high risk, and it's still high risk. This is very, very speculative. We have a long way to go."

Human trials for the commercial product are a year away, but the feds might waive that requirement for antiterrorism applications, such as blocking the effects of anthrax, says Dr. Frank Young, the former FDA commissioner on the EluSys board.

....

http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0035/baard.php

Elusys eventually removed most mentions of Neil from their site (early press releases there still carry his name, some were edited). And of course this deserves its own thread sometime. Who knows if Neil divested, like he said he would or of if it's a trust or something. Elusys is not public. Some scary, really scary links there. Peter B. Jahrling, USAMRID--biowarrior in chief for this great nation. Or take Dr. Frank Young, former FDA chief (under Reagan I think); sort of an Ashcroft extremely religious nut job (is a preacher), but with a stereoscope (made more infamous by being burned in effigy by Act Up!).

Elusys was essentially complaining about FDA regs with anthrax--that they could not put for their solution because of those pesky ethical guidelines with testing on humans. Post 9/11 and the anthrax attacks, and post lobbying by Frank Young and Elusys' CEO (among others), it is now ok per FDA to prove your drug on animals and use on humans.

To my limited knowledge, Elusys has not made tons of money, but they are certainly still in the game. The idea is a battlefield injection essentially, which would wipe out biotoxins from the bloodstream. It appears to be a good idea.

Elusys is in New Jersey, where the anthrax attacks were launched. They have access to our most sensitive biowar labs through their DoD funding and connections.
