Leahy urges White House cooperation on fired prosecutor investigations
Source: AP

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A day after White House political adviser Karl Rove resigned, Senator Patrick Leahy is calling on the White House to cooperate in congressional probes into the firings of 8 U.S. attorneys.

The Vermont Democrat, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has written a letter to President Bush suggesting that Bush, Leahy and Republican Senator Arlen Specter sit down to work out their differences on the matter.

Leahy has subpoenaed Rove and is seeking e-mails that Leahy says indicate that Rove played a role in the firings.

4. Is this not why Rove called it quits early--
Pull the rug from Dems Investigations??

Sure they can continue--but I bet Rove is betting the
Public will tire of Investigations and say why are you
still after him--he stepped down from office.

6. It won't work
Bush cries "no" like a spoiled baby. Specter says, "look what you did to the President!" Leahy has to throw his hands up and leave.
