Judge overturns Haneef visa ban

A court in Australia has overturned a government decision to
cancel the visa of an Indian doctor briefly charged over failed
bomb attacks in the UK.

The court ruled that the government had erred when it cancelled
Mohamed Haneef's visa on character grounds.

Dr Haneef was accused of links with failed attacks in London
and Glasgow.

But all the charges against him were dropped after Australia's
chief prosecutor reviewed the case and said a mistake had been
made.

Govt to appeal against Haneef ruling

Indian doctor Mohamed Haneef has come a step closer to returning
to Australia after a court ruled his work visa should be reinstated.

But the former terror suspect's return to Queensland's Gold Coast
is not guaranteed, after Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said
he would appeal against Tuesday's decision, which hinged on a
point of law.

"When I made the decision to cancel Dr Haneef's visa, I made it in
the national interest and I stand by that decision," Mr Andrews said.

that is prevalent amongst some (and primarily) US, UK and AU based persons in power. They don't believe any non-English-speaking non-white person deserves to be subjected to fairness and justice.

This is why UK and AU have always supported America's military adventures no matter how wrong.

Now they can say, yes, the evil courts stopped us, but we tried to protect Australia. Who can blame us?
