Progress in Iraq extremely disappointing: US ambassador
Source: AFP

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraqi political progress has been "extremely disappointing," the US ambassador in Baghdad said on Tuesday two weeks before he and the top American military commander in Iraq are to report to Congress.

"Progress on national level issues has been extremely disappopinting and frustrating to all concerned... to us, to Iraqis, and to the Iraqi leadership itself," Ryan Crocker told reporters in the Iraqi capital.

"I would suggest that... before you get meaningful reconciliation that does not just involve leaders but is phased down to society, that is going to take time," he added.

Crocker said that the overall level of sectarian killing has come down, although he conceded, "there are spectacular car bomb attacks."

3. What a Surprise!
They all seem to want much more time. I think we've about had it with this "more time needed" stuff. Notice how coordinated this crew is? The "more time is needed" chant started last week in a big way - now we're hearing it constantly from every repub we hear and see. I hope we are wise to how good these people are at framing the lie of the week.

4. Silly man. All you have to do is take away the minus sign.
The massive regress becomes massive progress. Smiles all around!

5. He's just ticked his 'crisis summit' turned into a light dinner and idle chat.
That must've burned him nice and good.
