Daily TelegraphHalf of all office staff are banned from using the Facebook website at work, according to a new survey.
LloydsTSB, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs have reportedly banned the site - nicknamed "Crackbook" because of its addictive nature - due to worries over its impact on productivity and security.
Graham Cluley from Sophos, the IT security firm that carried out the survey, said: "Companies are split on the question of Facebook.
"Some believe it to be a procrastinator's paradise, while others either view it as a valuable networking tool or are too nervous of an employee backlash if they suddenly block it."
