Giuliani to Deliver RNC Opening Address

NEW YORK (AP) -- Rudolph Giuliani, weighing a return to political office, is getting a chance to remind national Republicans of his leadership on Sept. 11, 2001.

The former New York mayor was to address the Republican National Committee on Wednesday, the first of four days of meetings for GOP activists. Party leaders will be discussing plans for the 2004 Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden.

New York was chosen as the convention site in part to highlight President Bush's stewardship since the terrorist attacks. The RNC meeting gives Guiliani a chance to shine.

Giuliani has bowed out of a possible run next year for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democrat Charles Schumer, but he is often mentioned as a possible gubernatorial candidate if Republican Gov. George Pataki decides against running for a fourth term in 2006. He could also seek Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's seat in 2006.

Maybe we should remind the party of National Security that
-Il Duce busted NYC budget days before 9.11
- He established a bunker ...in the WTC buildings
- he saddled the bankrupt city with expensive obligations to build stadiums to the two basaball teams OR THEY ARE FREE TO LEAVE - in a shady contract signed the last day of office
- he made money (and his girlfriend+her relatives0 from the 9.11 charitable fundation
- he never lifted a finger after 9.11 to get money for NYC (only Dems did)
In other words, the perfect republican.

to do with that bunch will be forever tainted. And the protesters who will be out and about, Whoa! rudy's rep will go way down.
