Bibles as Textbooks -- Holy MadCow...Batman -
SACRAMENTO -- Bibles would be given to every public school student in California unless parents objected under a proposed ballot measure by an Orange County man.

8. He's trying to dictate curriculum. Bad, bad bad. However,
classes about religion have a place in public schools. I think it's great if children learn more about the religions of the world.

I wonder which Christian bible he would like to use? There could be a whole lot of contrversy right there.

:D

10. Two points about this
On the one hand, if it's being taught as literature, fine. The guy pushing it as literature seems not to realise that literature is usually fiction.

Second, "Projected costs to the state and local school district are about $200 million, legislative analysts said."

WHAT THE BLEEDING HELL¹???? The state is going bankrupt, and these "conservatives" want to spend another 200 million dollars to put Bibles in all our schools?
