And the worst part is our "liberal" media rarely reports on this sort of thing. We don't know how many Iraqis have been killed or injured. We don't know how many U.S. troops have been injured. Because Bush is a fucking coward who, instead of honoring our fallen heroes, has them brought in under the cover of darkness, where the injured are sent off to military hospitals to begin their new lives disabled, missing limbs, blinded or paralyzed.

Fuck Bush and fuck Rumsfeld. The blood is on their hands.

The article said none of the children were injured. So why is this child's head bandaged? Is he/she one of the 5 orphaned children?

We are committed to a "revenge" for some reason beyond the most contemplative of us all. That revenge includes killing little, wide eyed, innocent children--children of a different religion and children of a darker skin with significantly different cultural practices. Necertheless, they will not understand why they have been left without a leg or a foot . They are too little to understand that. And we, under George Bush have done that to them. :cry:

Why do we do it and why does it become the "norm" and after a time acceptable?

Actually this is a misuse of military speak. Personnel are those who belong to a military unit. These victims were civilians. I guess our side can't bring themselves to admit what they did was wrong.

The police at home can use IR sensors on helocopters to tell who is growing pot in their home and how many warm bodies are present behind the walls and under the ceiling. Why is no such effort made here to identify friend or foe before firing shells into a residence where the presence of civilians and children is reasonably expected? Certainly, a rocket launcher or assualt rifle recently fired would appear on the sensor as well as the warm bodies of children. I guess they can't justify the expense. It's much cheaper to kill em all and let god sort em out. Except that the paybacks are a bitch.

I see no reason why our forces are not equipped with IR sensors to help identify the enemy or friendlies within structures.

I heard this tonight on the 6:00 CBC news and was sickened. I was hoping there was a mistake or something. And the excerpt from the White Rose was indeed chilling.
