Brazil shocked by jail girl rape
Source: BBC

Authorities in Brazil are investigating reports that a 15-year-old girl was left in a police cell with 20 men for a month and repeatedly sexually abused.

The governor of the state of Para has promised there will be an exemplary punishment for those responsible for placing the girl in the cell.

...

The governor of the state of Para, Ana Julia Carepa, said the girl's age did not matter and she should not have been left in a cell with men.

Media reports suggest that the girl was placed in the cell on suspicion of robbery, but human rights groups say there is uncertainty about what offence the girl was accused of and she was not formally charged.

i don't like to post news about rape cases.
but this makes a pair with the saudi girl's one.
it angers me.

i don't know what the brasilian may be shocked at anymore. their streets are a meat mess. no one seems really to find a way out.
it's time that their "shock" become social unrest and protests and strikes and shouts and whatever allowed in democracy.

as to the saudi girl, the women are protesting at last.
AFP: "A recent Saudi court ruling sentencing a woman to six months in jail and 200 lashes despite being gang-raped highlights the injustice faced by women in the ultra-conservative kingdom, women rights activists said.
"Sure, there is injustice against women in courts. It is a bitter situation that Saudi women have to endure," Saudi activist Wajiha al-Hweider said on Thursday, after the court ruling received widespread publicity." AFP NEWS

where are the men?
why is anger limited to activists?
enough with women torn to pieces before our relaaaaxed western eyes.

4. "in the name of 'god'" is
a copout.Put the blame where it lies. It's man's inhumanity to man and the fact that a large percentage of us are sociopaths.

8. in the case of the girl in saudia arabia, the decision was based on their
barbaric religious laws.
in this case, it was just a bunch of pigs doing what pigs do best.

About all I can say is that I certainly hope someone in charge goes to prison for that.

5. Why would they be shocked? Their jails are organized for these things to happen on a daily basis.
I wouldn't even call them "jails", I call them cages, where 20 people or more are thrown in and live in circumstances like wild animals. The conditions are inhumane and a direct violation of Human Rights, if you ask me. Gee, then you're shocked these things happen?

11. If this happened in the US, then they would say she raped herself wtih her handcuffs...
I find it funny how so many of us in the US like to point out these horrible events that take place in other countries. Yet at the same time we have people who defend similar activities by rich white college students. *cough* duke *cough*.

13. It is called Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome
Subjugate a woman and you subjugate a nation. Yes people this is not surprising and has been happening to women since around the Bronze Age. I was raped at knife point in my parents home by a total stranger to me and my family. I had just come of age and had my first period. My son who is now 39 is a product of this rape. I just told him and he hurts brutally.

However, the sperm donor who lived in my town in Guyana, (next door to Brazil) felt no remorse then and now because, he told his son that the Laws that the wicked Queen Elizabeth of England had on the books which is still the Law in Guyana, says that a minor age 12 could give sexual consent. I was neither 12 nor did I give consent to this destruction of my spiritual being.

Rape began with the brutal power and greed committed on Africans by Europeans for wealth. Who gave the slaves that endured slavery for over 400 years andy therapy or counseling??? They never had any. This day the children of the slaves learn from the master and his progenies. The 8 and 9 year olds we incarcerate fools nobody that is of African descent because the Europeans have descended into Democratic madness and inhumanity. The Europeans are paying along with us. For as long as the boil of slavery continues to fester and not lanced by courageous humans, society will continue to shock your spirits. There is one perfect law in nature, "Sowing and Reaping" This young spirit will heal one day and not blame herself like I did.

The Darfur comments are inappropriate because, my daughter was raped brutally in the USA and a jury of 11 whites and one black let the animal walk. The generations of Africans did not asked to be enslaved. So let us discuss pertinent issues that deal with healing and as a result heal this earth. I did not come out of a man because a man cannot create me. I am the product of my mother who was the daughter of a slave. Adam and Eve never works for me because it is mis-education of my rich ancestry and heritage. How about Isis ans Osiris and Horus???

Figure it out and stop the inhumanity committed by MEN against women. Men rape both men and women so wake up and smell the coffee. He who laughs last laughs the best. I am a DU since the beginning and I am shocked at the behavior of many so called DU members. De construct the paternalistic gentrified societies and let the world live. Darfur is all about OIL. This is NUBIA to the ones who never keep up. When Brazilians rape they are bad but when Americans rape they had to do it to earn money to continue their status. The children of Africa are rising up, yes Brazilians are Africans the largest population outside of Africa. Just like Venezuelans are Africans. In this 21st century...David will slew Goliath....never trivialize rape because I am watching from the shadows. Stop chatting and close Gitmo the torture pen of the world. I say live free or die and you now live in slavery. I escaped and I am a slave. The economy is broken because it was built on the backs of my ancestors and I. Check out the real rapist of this young Brazilian. Yes the Federal-is (police) in Brazil are the worst representatives of inhumanity and many are of European descent. The look like the storm troopers that live in America and rule the cities. Wake UP!!!!!!!The grim reaper is here to get what he sowed. Peace, love and justice to all who can wrap their minds around GLOBAL PEACE.
