Huckabee and Imus, Together Again
Source: Washington Post

According to Huckabee's schedule, he will do a telephone interview at 7:30 a.m. central time. He is spending Monday and Tuesday campaigning in Iowa, where a new Des Moines Register survey puts him ahead of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney by five percentage points. The poll shows Huckabee with 29 percent support and Romney with 24 percent.

When Imus was forced out, many politicians and former guests said they regretted their appearances on the show and said they would no longer be guests if he returned to the airwaves.

Huckabee was not one of them. From the beginning, he said Imus had made a mistake and should be allowed to move on.

"He's continued to have me on his show when I said stupid things," Huckabee told USA Today earlier this year. "What Imus said was wrong, but he seems genuinely sorry. He's certainly not the first celebrity to put his foot in his mouth -- and he won't be the last."

1. Not Smart or Moral
Wow, this guy really thinks he's going to be President! He says Imus made a mistake... He did the same type of humor for years.

2. Brains deficient in logic and facts. Imus didn't 'just make a mistake',
he said this kind of thing every day for years. Racist, sexist, mysogynist, FLIP FLOPPING HATE - EVERY SINGLE DAY. No, no mistake - that morning was like thousands of others.

3. Seriously--how many black votes will Huckabee lose from this appearance?
None.

The Democrats will stay away, at least until Sharpton, et. al., say it's OK and that Imus has learned his lesson.

4. This Dem will stay away longer
I really don't care if Imus gets the okay from Sharpton or whoever, I never liked him, watched or listened to the old windbag.

8. My point is, he, Huckabee, isn't taking a risk, here.
I doubt his black supporters could be counted on the fingers of two hands. And Huckabee doesn't really CARE what YOU think--you aren't in his 'core.'

And I doubt many Democrats, even the conservative/religious/antiabortion ones, who actually study the issues, will buy this guy either. The stupid might, because he's so .... adorable. And, oh, PLEASANT. And such a REGULAR guy. Like that Ron Paul nut that so many are enthralled with, only with a few different whack-job ideas.

But when you realize this clown actually thinks that Fred, Wilma, Bam-bam and DINO all coexisted six thousand years ago, well, that's a problem for anyone with half a brain.
