Reid’s Relationship With Bush Enters Deep Freeze
Source: New York Times

WASHINGTON — Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, has called President Bush a loser and a liar and has referred to him derisively as King George. Mr. Reid has also apologized — but only, he likes to point out, for the "loser" line.

Mostly, Mr. Reid, Democrat of Nevada, calls the president "this guy," as in an interview last week, when he said, "I am mystified, dumbfounded about how difficult it is to work with this guy."...

"I fear that the Bush years will be known as a rare, even dark time," he said Friday on the Senate floor....

9. No it wont..
BushCo is a thousand times worse than the Dem Congress. Sure they have enabled him here and there in the name of decorum, but it's still not even close.

This chapter in American history will be about Bush and Cheney's desire to destroy everything that makes this country great. The 06 congress will be a footnote at most.. Unless of course they impeach Bush and Cheney.

3. Atta boy, Harry. Yer gettin' some blood flow up thar now.
Of course, the obvious point here is that it takes a willing Congress to give Bush what he wants, and Reid's Congress is surely doing that.

4. Senator Reid isn't insulting Bush -- just stating facts ...
Bush DID lose the 2000 election, as the vote analysis showed. And Bush himself uttered the words that he would find the job easier if he were a dictator (a king, for example). And as for the "liar" part ... well, there are just so many examples. Dozens of writers I know contributed to a book called "Big Bush Lies", and we were barely able to scratch the surface, in the pages allotted to us!

"This guy" is way better than Bush deserves. Way better.

19. Bush lost the 04 election too as the exit polls clearly showed and as
explained in dozens of books written by PhDs in statistics and other fields. This is on top of the hundreds of other facts that indicate that Bush lost, that the figures from the voting machines claiming he won were erroneous.

Of course it wasn't just the machines since there were numberless other methods that were used to throw the election as indicated in many books and DVDs and most recently in 'Uncounted: The New Math of American Elections."

6. OK but Reid must know that calling * names is useless. Come on Reid, do something before * does
more damage to our government, economy, and society.

13. "This guy..."
In the first Gore-Bush debate, Bush several times referred to Al Gore as "this guy" -- jerking his head or thumb at Gore. The ill-breeding was showing through his painfully faux nice-guy act.

"This guy" in Reid's context, however, is far too well-bred a term for Bush.

16. I clicked the link to see if there was a part where Harry blew his comments out of his ass
I'm sorry, I see "Reid" or "Pelosi" in a news stories these days and I immediately translate it into "Bush got his way again."

Although Harry IS a sly ol' dog for apologizing for the "loser" part but not the "king" and "liar" stuff. Two snaps UP, girlfriend!

Jeezis.

20. Not believing the story for a minute.
Reid has ignored one to many Democratic holds and has honored too many GOPer holds. His Democratic facade is in shreds and his Bush lapdog true inner self is being unmasked.

This story is just the media trying to cover Reid's ass for the backlash he is receiving for his push of the FISA immunity bill.

The media's task is to build Reid's Democratic mask back up again so that he is able to fight the fight for teleco immunity in January.
