Clinton Says Wife a 'World-Class Genius'
Source: Associated Press

WOLFEBORO, N.H. (AP) -- Former President Clinton says his wife is a "world-class genius" when it comes to improving the lives of others.

Clinton stuck mostly to familiar themes in two hour-long appearances Thursday, describing at length what he views as the nation's biggest challenges. Nearly 15 minutes into his first speech, he added almost as an afterthought that "everything I'm saying here is my wife's position, not just mine."

It was his third trip to New Hampshire in little more than a month, and the visit came the day before Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton was to return to the Granite State for two days of campaigning.

Calling the ability to help others the most important quality in a president, Clinton first compared the successes of his administration in creating jobs and other areas to the failures of the Bush administration before finally turning the focus to his wife, a New York senator.

6. because millions of maimed, wounded, killed, displaced, terrorized citizens
in Iraq is simply not good enough for her. She wishes the same for Iran. And Americans sent to be killed or blown-apart in Iraq is good because it improves their lives and the lives of their families, of course.

Can't you see?

15. She might be that, but she is not the right person to lead us back to the Old American Republic
I was just reading an article that states that the SS has, because they have provided security for the Clintons every minute of every day for the past eight years, a detailed account oftheir movements and meetings.

Now, in Old America, this would not be abused, at least not in anything more than the occasional exception, I would guess.

However, it is almost without doubt, given their Bushification/Nazification program that has swept the entire edifice of Executive Agencies into being Bush Party Instruments, the Michael Chertoff has been briefing his Bushie Masters on where the Clintons have been going and who they ahve been meeting.

Like the rest of us, Total Information Awareness puts the hunted at a distinct advantage from the Bushies/Nazis who control the engine of the State and use it in every possibly way to their own criminal benefit.

Also, it is improtant to note that Bill Clinton "chose, for the good of the country" to bury all investigations into Bushie Serial Felonies and Treason from the October Surprise of 1980 to Iran-Contra, Iraqgate, and BCCI, among others.

It is almsot certainly a slam dunk that his wife will do the same, and doubly certain in that Clinton in 1992 did not have his every move and his every violation of every law, no matter how picayune or no matter how much Bushies walk scot-free for doing the same things as a matter of course, tracked and recorded.

Sen. Clinton may have the genius of an Einstein, but it cannot and more importantly will not, help us restore the Old American Republic that we loved...right up until it's death on 12/12/2000.

16. The essential problem is thus
One could argue that they were tricked by the administration. The counterpoint is, why did you so easily fall for something clearly disingenuous when the rest of us (I assume most of the population here falls into this category at least) did not?

OR

You were making a supremely cynical, politically motivated move because you thought that if the war succeeded, you could always say you were "strong on defense."

Maybe there are better explanations (humanitarian? Kurds?) but this is what I always think about. Now, do I think that Hillary would probably make a decent president? Yes, but following our current trainwreck, I the bar is very low. On the other hand, it is going to take someone who possesses all the qualities of a great president to solve all the problems that are going to be inherited. Also, this who dual dynasty thing would be very bad for democracy and and likely cause more voter apathy.

Hillary Clinton is a world-class suckup, lobbyist-money-taking, "if I knew then what I know now" flip-flopper, establishment, DLC-elitist.

On top of it all, that's such an arrogant statement to make. A genius is naturally a genius and is naturally regarded as such...a husband making that statement about his wife is suspect.

When it was revealed he went to Oxford, Bill was quick to remind people that he plays the saxophone and eats at McDonald's.

Anti-intellectualism is still huge here in the United States and everyone knows it. Is he deliberately sabotaging Hillary's campaign, or what?

48. Unfortunately, Old America cannot be restored by a "world-class genius"
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 05:38 AM by tom_paine
It can only be restored by someone with a world-class spine, someone who who has world-class principles that they won't back down from when the Bushies target them, someone who believes the American People are world-class, not Idiot Peasants to be pushed this way and that by Bushie-style Propaganda, Lies, Half-Truths and Smears.

In my opinion, Sen. Clinton is none of these things, and her Imperial Reign would be just that, a respite between Bushie Emperors...maybe even a good emperor.

But we need more than that if we are to restore the Old American Republic, much more than that.

50. It's not really hate
Although the tone is a little less than genteel, posters' negativity toward Sen. Clinton stems from fundamental policy conflicts, and not something shallow like personality issues.

Support for the Iraq War is one of those stark issues. But I'll offer a more basic one: the DLC mindset that Republican-lite policies are best for America. Pick one - free trade, NAFTA, corporate solution for health care - it's the Clinton MO, and I'm not just talking about our former President.

This country has been ill-served by the attitude of voting for the lesser of two evils. It's led to the defacto one-party rule. This year, there's no need to follow down that path, when there are multiple viable alternatives (and not just someone unelectable like Sen. Kucinich).

I don't care about "experience" when it leads to world-class follies like Iraq.

52. I care very much about experience and personality
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 01:19 PM by Ladydawnelle
I've been watching her and reading her intentionally since Clark endorsed her. Having RARELY watched or listened to her in the past. I was VERY VERY impressed and pleased.

I don't want a President who is not there 100 percent. Eddie won't/can't be cuz of his wife. And rightly so. I don't even want to have that on the news day in and out. How's is Elizabeth doing. Is she well?

It's just not fair to the country to saddle us with that when so much has to be tended to and fixed. I love Hillary's entourage too I must admit.

Obama is ok. Just not 100 percent either. He'd be a great VP but I doubt she'll choose him. I think O's wife wants to be President more than he does. Probably like Bill and Hill were at first. LOL They're all politicians. I want the BEST.

It's all my opinion and that of a few others I know from the DNC. I'm disabled so I have lots of time to read and research. Trust me, she'll get our troops out of Iraq and a dozen OTHER things that need fixing. I know she's far from perfect. Gore or Clark were my first choices. I love Dennis too but he's just too much of a little warrior for MOST Americans. They can't handle the fire in the belly. Hillary has it but is doing a great job of holding it at bay. WE need that. (well I think we do)
