Several hurt in Turkey car blast

A car bomb has exploded in the Kurdish-dominated city of Diyarbakir in south-eastern Turkey, injuring several people, reports say.
The blast targeted a military vehicle, the country's state news agency reported. The vehicle was passing through the city centre, a police official said.

Police said they suspected Kurdish militants of carrying out the attack.

1. Bomb blast hits Turkish city
An explosion has rocked the centre of the southeastern Turkish city of Diyarbakir, injuring several people.

Police and Turkey's state Anatolian news agency said Thursday's blast was caused by a bomb.

It occurred as a military vehicle was passing on a road in the city centre.

Television footage showed fire fighters trying to extinguish a large fire that appeared to have destroyed at least two cars along with the military vehicle.

3.  4 detained after Turkey bombing

ISTANBUL, Turkey - Police have detained four people after a bomb attack targeting Turkish soldiers killed five civilians and wounded 68, a prosecutor said Friday.

The four were being interrogated over suspected links to Thursday's attack, said Durdu Kavak, chief prosecutor in southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakir.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Turkish leadership immediately blamed separatist Kurdish rebels who have carried out bombings across the country in the past.

Friday's statement did not indicate whether the four detained were suspected of being Kurdish rebels
