Romney wins in Nevada caucuses
Source: AP via MSNBC

WASHINGTON - Republican Mitt Romney won Nevada's caucuses Saturday, while John McCain and Mike Huckabee dueled in the South Carolina primary, two races likely to winnow the crowded field of GOP presidential rivals.

Democrats shared the stage in Nevada, where Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama vied for a caucus victory and the campaign momentum that goes with it.

Romney's western victory marked two straight successes, coming after a win in the Michigan primary earlier in the week that revived the former Massachusetts governor's campaign.

5. It won't be Mitt. McCain or Huckabee will be their nominee.
Although he's the establishment pick, and the most loathsome of Repukes are lock-step for Romney; his liabilities in a general election will be laid bare.

7. And look who was second...Paul! Oh those Republicans are really unsure, eh?
I was surprised by the actual number of votes...maybe they aren't all counted yet?

USA Today reported 702 votes for Mitt the Nit-wit and 234 for Paul. Is that typical?

14. No surprise.
Lots of Mormons in Nevada, Arizona too. You wouldn't guess it based on Sin City Vegas, but it is true.

16. Yup,
Mostly mormons. Reno, Carson, Fallon, Hawthorne, Elko, and lots of little towns outside Vegas like Mesquite (the polygamists. Mitt will carry Nevada if he is nominated, but so what? Nevada is an amomoly and a very strange state.
